04 Mar Recording animations
The new version of Blender SOFA now allows to record animations.
To do so, you just have to switch the “Record Animation” flag on the “Game” menu. The next time you start the simulation (by pressing P), the position of all the objects will be recorded in a KeyShape for each frame.
Once the simulation is over, it becomes possible to replay it by pressing ‘Alt+A’. You can now exit the Game engine and use the other renderers of Blender (eg. Cycle) to render it later and make nice video of your simulation scene.
That feature also works for deformable objects, and not only for rigid ones like it is the case with the Bullet engine.
